  1. Scope of Work – New building, refurbishment, or network expansion?

  2. Cable Distances – Copper Ethernet max 90m; longer runs require fibre backbone. Multimode fibre up to 400m; single-mode beyond 550m.

  3. Number of Data Points – Determine the number and placement of network points.

  4. Building Type – Cables may run in false ceilings, raised floors, or wall conduits.

  5. Required Network Speeds – Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Cat7 or fibre (OM1–OM5), depending on performance needs.

  6. Containment – Options include dado trunking, metal conduits, plastic trunking, or floor boxes.

  7. Project Timeline – Schedule installations around your business operations; out-of-hours or weekend work can be arranged.

  8. Hazardous Materials – Asbestos or other risks are assessed before work begins.
